Among the gardens, each of which was designed in a different style by Gerson Leiber, is one devoted to sculpture by celebrated modern sculptors; another is a garden of geometric hedges; and a third makes one feel as if one has entered a tropical rain forest. Each of the gardens maintains its own set of distinctive qualities, from meticulously sculpted hedges and intricate trelliswork to a thriving potager and a painter’s palette of colorful flowers. An eagle’s eye view of the property would present an image of a maze of interconnected brick paths leading through a distinguished variety of flowering plants and shrubs encompassing a variety of charming gardening styles.
The sculpture garden is adjacent to the Leiber Collection’s Palladian edifice that currently has an exhibition entitled Magnificent Obsession of Judith Leiber handbags and Gerson Leiber paintings of the world of fashion.
