MONTAUK, NY — The community is joining hands to help a four-legged friend run over by a truck.
A GoFundMe page, "Scott Sisco/Silky" was created by David Brand of Montauk and has raised $2,000 of its $10,000 goal so far.
"A dear friend of mine / ours Scott Sisco who has fallen on hard times needs our help. His dog Silky had a terrible, unfortunate accident — getting run over by a truck. They need our help. Silky already had one surgery and the vet bill is already over $4,000," the page said. "She will need at least one more, maybe two more, surgeries on her ankle and paw and they are estimating another $4,000 to $6,000."
