Crowds Turn Out For 37th Annual Montauk Fall Festival: Photos

The fun included a popular clam chowder contest. Check out a huge gallery of all the great photos here!

MONTAUK, NY — The enormous numbered pots of clam chowder were ready at 11 a.m. Saturday, as attendees lined up on Main Street with their black and orange — this year's signature colors — mugs to sample and judge the finest chowders from Montauk's top eateries, one of the highlights of the 37th Annual Montauk Fall Festival.

As always, there was something for every taste: food, Long Island beers and wines, inflatable fun, crab races, a new-this-year rock-climbing wall, sports memorabilia, live music in the gazebo and plenty more. Taking first prize in the Chowder Contest's Manhattan clam chowder category was Sausages Pizza & Pastabilities; the title for best New England clam chowder went to Gosman's Restaurant.
