Don't Miss: Last Chance to See 'Andromeda' in Montauk

It's magic under the stars in Montauk at Kate Mueth and The Neopolitical Cowgirls breathe joyful life into a modern myth for the masses.

MONTAUK, NY — Kate Mueth continues her life's mission of keeping the arts alive and thriving on the East End.

Sunday marks the last chance to see the transformative "Andromeda," presented by Kate Mueth and The Neo-Political Cowgirls at Montauk County Park at 7:30 p.m.

According to Brown Paper Tickets, "The award winning Kate Mueth and The Neo Political Cowgirls take their wild dance theater to the hills of Montauk . . . The title character, with her mother Casseopeia, are in search of their place in the world, in search of home. They've wandered many miles when they stumble upon a bizarre village where they just might find a place to call their own."

Once there, "Magic and danger set in only to put the mother and daughter wanderers back on their journey, changed forever," the site says.

According to Mueth, "Tonight is our last night for Andromeda in the hills of Montauk. Then, like the summer, she fades away . . . "

And according to audiences, it's a don't-miss performance.

"I took a photo at tonight's performance thinking I should share this wonderful experience and persuade my friends that they shouldn't miss this last opportunity to see it," wrote Jackie Tyrrell. "What was I thinking? How could a photo possibly capture the backdrop of the Milky Way as it appears, star by star after sunset, as the story unfolds and Andromeda saves herself with her beautiful strong words. The seemingly endless tears of Perseus casting light on this wonderful family friendly passionately produced drama."

The show, Tyrrell said, is outdoor entertainment at its best. "You can show up salty and sandy with pizza in hand and make a one of a kind Montauk memory."

Incorporating giant puppet heads, music, dance, story and the outdoors, the show is an "expansive tale for all ages sure to transform and move audiences," according to the Brown Paper Tickets site.

Bring a beach chair, a picnic, and a blanket and soak up the magic under the stars in Montauk.
