Downed Tree Snarls Traffic In East Hampton

Traffic was diverted until the tree could be removed, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A downed tree after Thursday night's storm caused traffic snarls in East Hampton Friday morning, police said.

According to East Hampton Village Police, the tree came down on New York State Route 27, east of Daniels Hole Road. While the road was open, all lanes were diverted until the highway department's arrival to remove the tree, police said.
