Drunk Driver Crashes Car: Police
The driver was slapped with a felony charge for possession of a forged instrument, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was caught driving drunk after he crashed his car, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Conrad F. Kabbaz, 20, was arrested on Jan. 3 at 12:16 a.m. on Town Lane in East Hampton after he was heading west in his 2002 Chevrolet and was involved in a crash.
Upon investigation, police said Kabbaz had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech, poor coordination, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, as well as second degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony, police said.
He was released on his own recognizance, police said.
