Drunk Driver Puts ID In Mouth, Gives Officer Debit Card: Cops
The intoxicated driver was also caught driving on the wrong side of the road in East Hampton, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Flanders man was caught driving drunk in East Hampton — and gave authorities a debit card instead of his ID, police said.
According to East Hampton Village Police, Luis H. Bac Locon, 35, was arrested on March 8 at 12:44 a.m. at the intersection of Montauk Hway. and Cove Hollow Rd.
Police said they responded to reports of an "erratic driver" driving a black SUV on the wrong side of the road; an officer then saw Locon exit the CVS parking lot, heading west without a turn signal indicator and failing to maintain his lane by driving in the center lane, police said.

Once stopped and approached by an officer near Montauk Hwy. and Jericho Rd., an investigation revealed that Locon's breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage, his eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his speech was slurred, and he was unsteady on his feet upon exiting the vehicle, police said.
He was also unable to locate his identification when asked — and, when he did locate it, he put it in his mouth and gave the officer a debit card, police said.

Locon failed several standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said. He was also unable to provide a breath sample on the pre-screen breath test due to his level of intoxication, police said.
He was arrested and charged with second degree driving while intoxicated; second degree driving with .08 of 1% or more alcohol; first degree aggravated unlicensed operation; aggravated DWI; operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device; third degree aggravated unlicensed operation; improper/unsafe turn without a signal; unlicensed operation and driving in the center lane, police said.
He had a prior conviction for aggravated DWI in 2017, police said.
Bail was set at $3,500 and Locon's vehicle was impounded, police said.
