Drunk Man Drives Through Intersection, Strikes Trees: Police
The Florida driver failed to stop at the intersection, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Florida man was arrested after he drove drunk and crashed into trees in East Hampton, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Noah Miller, 30, was arrested on May 14 at 7:59 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, and operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1 percent or more alcohol in blood, first offense, a misdemeanor.
Miller was driving a 2013 Kia west on Fort Pond Boulevard when he failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection of Fort Pond Blvd. and Three Mile Harbor Hog Creek Road; he allegedly "went straight across the intersection, striking several trees," police said.

Upon investigation, Miller was found to have the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and bloodshot, glassy eyes; he refused to take any standard field sobriety tests, police said.
He was remanded to the Suffolk County Sheriff's department, police said.
