East End Accounting Firm Announces New Hires

An East End accounting firm with offices in East Hampton, Southampton, Sag Harbor and Riverhead recently added four new employees to its staff.

Markowitz, Fenelon & Bank, LLP, announced that it recently hired the following employees:

• Johanna Morocho, of East Hampton, joined the firm in its East Hampton office. She is an honors graduate of Pace University, Lubin School of Business, New York, NY where she earned a BBA in Public Accounting. Prior to joining the firm, Johanna worked as a forensic accounting intern for the New York County District’s Attorney Office in Manhattan where she worked closely with fraud investigators to analyze and summarize complex financial business records to prepare related documentation for trials. Also, while in school Johanna volunteered to prepare income tax returns for low-income citizens through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program at Pace University.
• Nicole Jonat of Sag Harbor, joined the firm in its Southampton office. She is an honors graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Oneonta, Oneonta, NY. Prior to joining the firm, Nicole worked at Charlie Whitmore Gardens in Amagansett, NY, where she oversaw company collections and maintained proper forms regarding tax status and capital improvements with audit responsibilities.
• John Rabal of Nesconset, also joined the firm in its East Hampton office. He is an honors graduate from the St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. John also earned his MBA in Accounting at St. Joseph’s where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Prior to joining the firm, John worked as a staff accountant at Eichen and Dimeglio CPA, P.C in Plainveiw, NY where he processed individual and corporate tax returns. He also assisted in the conducting audits for the firm’s audit clients. Prior to working at Eichen and Dimeglio, John worked as an accounting manager at Brandon Associates, in Farmingdale.
