East Hampton Man Cuffed For Driving Drunk On Halloween: Cops

He's facing a felony charge and cash bail was set at $5,000, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was arrested after he was caught driving drunk on Halloween, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Curtis Manley, 46, was arrested on Oct. 31 at 9:15 p.m. on Abrahams Path; he was driving a 2013 white Chevy van and was seen failing to use a designated lane, failing to keep right, making an improper right turn, making an insufficient turn signal, and having driver's view obstructed, police said.

Upon investigation, he had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, per se .18 of 1% alcohol or more 1, prior conviction within 10 years, a felony, and DWI: previous conviction of designated offense within 10 years, a felony, police said.

Cash bail was set at $5,000, police said.
