East Hampton Man Facing Felony Cocaine Possession Charge: Cops
Cash bail was set at $1,000, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was arrested after he was found with cocaine, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Jhony A. Nieto, 38, was arrested on June 2 at 2:35 a.m. on Fort Pond Blvd. near Eauclaire St. and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine 500 milligrams, a felony.
He was found to have four clear ziplock bags containing a quantity of a white powder substance that weighed 500 milligrams or more; the bags containing the white powder substance were recovered from the center console area of Nieto's 2015 Jeep, which he was operating at the time, police said. The white powder substance later field tested positive for the presence of cocaine, police said.

In addition, he wrongfully had one e-cigarette cartridge containing a brown oil substance; the cartridge containing the brown oil substance was recovered from from the glove box of his Jeep, police said. The brown oil substance later field tested positive for the presence of marijuana, police said. He was also charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
Cash bail was set at $1,000, police said.
