East Hampton Rental Tenant Steals Dog: Police

The woman left the rental and took a boxer named Rudy with her, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY: An East Hampton woman is going to the dogs after allegedly leaving a Bonac rental — and taking a boxer, Bruno, valued at more than $1,000 with her, police said.

According to East Hampton Town police, the woman, Bridget Lynch, 35, was arrested on March 2 for an incident that took place on or about February 26 at 8:30 a.m.

Lynch, police said, before vacating her rental house on Middle Highway in East Hampton, packed up the pooch without permission.

Lynch, police, said, acted "with intent to deprive another of property"; the dog was valued at more than $1,000 police said.

She was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, police said.
