East Hampton Town Looking To Centralize Offices
The town is considering a couple of options to centralize its offices scattered across town.

East Hampton Town is looking into several plans to centralizing its offices, currently scattered throughout town, according to East Hampton Star.
A team has suggested tearing down the largely empty old town hall building, and building a new 14,000-square-foot annex, using green construction and technology, according to East Hampton Star.
The project is estimated to cost $5.5 million, however it would only taxpayers about $600,000 with an expected sale of town property and a state grant, East Hampton Star reports.

A second possible option would be to refurbish the old town building, which was vacated years ago, and add a 4,000-square-foot annex.
Under this plan, the current Town Hall would still be used but several vacant small outbuildings would be renovated and employees working in the offices at Pantigo Place, at the Lamb building on Bluff Road in Amagansett, and in other outbuildings on the central campus would move into the main buildings, according to East Hampton Star.
