Former East Hampton High School Star Arrested After High-Speed Chase
Police arrested Joseph Dowling last Thursday after chasing him along Route 114.

East Hampton Town Police arrested a former East Hampton High School football star last Thursday after chasing him along Route 114, The East Hampton Star reports.
Joseph Dowling, 22, of Sag Harbor, led the police on a chase driving his 2014 Mazda over 100 miles per hour, according to the East Hampton Star. After the pursuit ended around Swamp Road with the help of additional car and the Sag Harbor Village police, Dowling attempted to run away into the woods but was brought down by police, according to The East Hampton Star.
Police then found heroin, cocaine, and marijuana in addition to a βspring-assisted gravityβ knife after searching him and his car, according to The East Hampton Star.

He was arrested and charged with criminal possession of narcotics, criminal possession of a controlled substance with an intent to sell, five misdemeanors, one violation for possession of marijuana, and at least seven traffic violations, according to The East Hampton Star.
