Nellie’s of Amagansett, the local antique shop on 230 Main Street, is holding its annual antique fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6.
Asked to point out the most unique items in this year’s sale, Connie Dankmyer, owner and operator of Nellie’s, took us through the following highlights.
Antique dealer Eric Johnson was selling vintage furniture:

· A Swedish chest from the 18th century, complete with hand painted decorations. This piece sold for $600.

· An oak Hall Tree featuring a mirror, bench, storage chest and cast metal coat hooks dating from either the early 20th or late 19th century.
Mark Wilson, Australian born Springs resident and co-owner of the store Lazy Point at 303 Main Street, was selling his finds from around the globe:
· A Japanese fishing ship flag from the 1970’s.
· A series of repurposed suzani wedding embroidery from Uzbekistan turned into the coverings for ottomans.
· A cast metal mid-century cool box that once held Coca-Cola bottles in India.
