'Front & Back' Solo Show of Glass Paintings by Gabriele Raacke

Glass Paintings at Ashawagh

Gabriele T. Raacke’s “Front & Back” solo show of glass paintings will be at Ashawagh Hall in Springs this weekend. The title of the show reflects on the technique of applying paint to the back of glass panes which adds a unique brilliance as the paintings are viewed through the glass from the front. On exhibit will be new works featuring fairy-tale like scenes of imaginary animals and people, large flower paintings and abstract work.

An opening reception will take place on Friday, October 24 from 5 PM to 8 PM. The exhibition will also be open on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 PM.
