GoFundMe: Campaign Started to Raise Money For Andrew MacNiven Memorial Fund

Michael Vincent started a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to help raise money for a memorial fund in honor of Andrew MacNiven, a former East Hampton resident who passed away earlier this month.

MacNiven, 24, died on Saturday, March 14 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he had been living after graduating from DeSales University in Pennsylvania in 2012, according to The East Hampton Star.

He had been a member of the varsity track and volleyball teams at the school.

According to the GoFundMe page, The Andrew MacNiven Memorial Fund hopes to honor the loss of MacNiven by providing funding for a skate-park memorial, the publication of a book of artwork, photos, and testimonials, and the framing of his Volleyball and Track uniforms.

The goal is to raise a total of $5,000 for the Memorial Fund. So far, since the campaign was created last Wednesday, $1,090 has been raised.
