GoFundMe To Help East Hampton Man Injured After Crashing Into Tree
Paul Inga Uyaguari, 23, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital after the crash, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — The community is coming together to help a man who was injured after crashing into a tree in November.
The "Help Edwin Paul Inga" page, created by Jennifer Inga, has raised $6,780 of its $30,000 goal so far.
"On Nov 13, 2016 at 5:15 a.m. my brother Paul Inga was in a car accident. He was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital with major injuries; he has a cracked liver. The pancreas is damaged, the spleen needs to be removed and one of his intestines is damaged," the page reads. "He has two broken legs and also has head trauma." He was in a coma but may need surgery again, the page states. "Please help my family."

The East Hampton man was seriously injured after crashing into a tree; according to East Hampton Police, Inga Uyaguari, 23, was driving a 2002 Honda Odyssey south on Route 114 south of Barcelona Neck Road at 5:15 a.m when he crossed the northbound lane, leaving the roadway and striking a tree. A passing motorist discovered the car and driver and called 911, police said.
Uyaguari was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The Honda was impounded for safety checks and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
