East Hampton Fireworks July 4, 2017: Where To Watch

East Hampton fireworks take place on July 15.

EAST HAMPTON, NY โ€” "The 37th annual fireworks celebration, "The Great Bonac Fireworks Show," hosted by The Clamshell Foundation & Grucci, takes place Saturday, July 15, just after 9 p.m. over Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton.

In addition, the 26th Annual Sandcastle Contest takes place on August 5 at Atlantic Avenue Beach in Amagansett. The contest is open to all ages and runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The fireworks spectacular continues after the passing of Rossetti Perchik, founder of The Clamshell Foundation, who died in 2016; Rossettiโ€™s personal financial contributions were primarily responsible for making the fireworks happen since The Clamshell Foundation took over the event.

But the tradition lives on: Both events are possible through the community's continued support.

"We are still working to raise enough money for the fireworks and any donation the community can provide will help us continue the tradition of both events, along with giving back to the local community and environment. 100 percent of all profits go back to our community," The Clamshell Foundation said in a release. The organization also funds local scholarships for students.
