“Coppelia” is a "springtime comedic delight" that illustrates the courtship of Swanhilda and Franz, the doll, Coppelia, who Franz mistakenly courts, as well as Dr. Coppelius’ bumbling antics, according to HBTS.

The villagers' traditional dances in Act 1 and the “Festival of the Bell” in Act 3 are legendary.
