Phyllis Chillingworth translates the emotion she experiences in Montauk and from distant travels into watercolor and oil paintings. She would like viewers to connect with the energy in her paintings and to discover new perceptions for themselves. Phyllis has a BFA/MFA from The Yale School of Art & Architecture and is a member of Atlantic Gallery, NYC. She will be exhibiting in ArtHamptons 2015.
Anahi DeCanio, an award-winning artist, whose work can be seen on movie sets and TV, was selected as Artist of the Month by the Long Island Arts Alliance during Art Month 2014. The selection resulted in an exhibit of her ‘Zen Landscapes’ at Bloomingdale’s. She will be exhibiting some of these paintings as well as some brand new mixed media work.
Keith Mantell studied with Alex Minewski, a Hoffmann disciple and took postgraduate courses at The National Academy School of Fine Arts, NYC. Keith now combines the art of plein air painting with the essence of abstract expressionism. Keith is a member of Peconic Plein Air and individually, he has shown at a number of venues on both the North and South forks.

Alyce Peifer has exhibited extensively in the North and South Fork areas of Long Island and in NYC. Plein Air painting of the Long Island areas and studies of reflected light are her favorite subjects. She is a member of The Wednesday Group who paint The Nature Conservancy sites. This year Alyce curated the 1st Hamptons Plein Air Invitational that brought together plein air painters from Eastern Long Island to exhibit and paint together.
Rosa Scott has won the East Hampton Independent newspaper contest and is currently in the Southampton Cultural Center show ‘Reflections in Black’, Jan 10-March 2 and will be in Bloomingdale’s exhibition Jan 30-Feb 28 called Art Alive. Rosa has won an Honorable Mention at Guild Hall and will be exhibiting abstract work in acrylics, featuring lines and form in hot colors.

Frank Sofo studied at the High School of Art & Design, the School of Visual Arts, and the Art Students League. He paints beach scenes, local landscapes, and figures using strong colors in a painterly style. Influenced by the impressionists Frank keeps his paintings flowing with lively brush strokes. He has a fondness for capturing the energy of people he sees in local activities.
John Todaro is an East Hampton photographer whose work has won numerous awards and which is produced in much sought-after editions. He’ll be showing recent color and black and white landscapes, a new series of semi-abstractions and a suite of miniatures. John studied with Anthony Nobile in the 1970’s developing an enduring artistic relationship informed by Nobile’s studies with Minor White and Paul Caponigro.
Rita Zimmer will be exhibiting a select group of pencil paintings and watercolors created directly from life. They are powerful in their originality of expression and their unique sense of color. Rita has studied for many years with Ophrah Shemesh, NYC.
