Kathee Burke-Gonzalez Sweeps Democratic Primary Race For East Hampton Town Supervisor By Wide Margin

EAST HAMPTON, NY — The voters have spoken: Incumbent Kathee Burke-Gonzalez has swept a Democratic primary race for East Hampton Town Supervisor by a wide margin.

Facing off against Burke-Gonzalez was East Hampton Village Mayor Jerry Larsen.

According to unofficial results by the Suffolk County Board of Elections, Burke-Gonzalez won with 62.24 percent, or 2,054 votes; Larsen garnered 37.73 percent, or 1,245 votes.

With no GOP candidate yet announced, the Democratic primary race, many believed, would leave the winner poised to secure the town supervisor's seat in November.
