Lawyer Caught In Montauk With Heroin, Cocaine, Meth: Cops
He was also charged with intent to sell, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY β A lawyer was caught in Montauk with a bag of assorted drugs, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Daniel Wasp, 50, of Central Islip, was stopped at 1:09 a.m. on April 11 on Montauk Highway in Montauk due to a tail light that was out on the driver's side.
A check of his license revealed that Wasp had four suspensions on three separate dates, all for failing to answer summonses, police said.

He was charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, police said.
Wasp's car was impounded and, during an inventory search, the officer "found a bag containing numerous drugs," police said.

Field tests revealed that the drugs tested positive for heroin, cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines; he was additionally found with a blue electronic scale and multiple plastic bags, police said.
Wasp was also charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, narcotics, intent to sell, a felony, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a felony, fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, a felony, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, heroin, a misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, possession of a hypodermic instrument, two counts of second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.
