Let's Support Gene Casey-Sidelined by Mishap

Over the last 13 years I have written articles about the good works of Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks. The Lone Sharks are a bluesy,rock-country, band who have played all over the east end of Long Island for years. If you are reading this article you most likely have heard them play. A few weeks back Gene had a bicycle mishap that damaged his hand and nerves. He just did have the surgery and I hope he has a successful rehab and recovery.

I am not a drinking buddy of Gene’s nor do I know him beyond the interviews over the years, but this I do know, Gene is the type of guy who shows up at homeless shelters unannounced and plays songs for the homeless for free. Gene is the type of guy who is ready to help raise money for folks with cancer or other ailments all over the east end but most of all Gene is a gentleman, not a class “act” but the actual thing.

I write this not to embarrass Gene Casey but to support him now at this time. Gene has a few Albums on iTunes for $9.99 each. I purchased the albums “What Happened,” and “Untrained,” and the songs are awesome. I hope others do the same although I know many of you have already. BTW this also helps the Lone Sharks who also are not performing. Please buy an album and then LOL you can thank me, the songs are that good!
