Little Veterinarians Learn How To Care For Animals

If this doesn't make you smile, nothing will.

SAG HARBOR, NY — Even the smallest of children can learn early about caring for, and nurturing, animals.

As part of a study on the jungle and jungle animals, Sag Harbor Elementary kindergartners in Susan Raebeck’s class have been learning about animal care by diagnosing pretended illnesses of stuffed animals they brought into school.

The little veterinarians also created treatment plans for their sick creatures and made cages and beds for them, a release said.

Additionally, they read books about the jungle, painted pictures of jungle animals and trees and heard from parents who have traveled to the Amazon.
