Man Arrested After Accusations Of Sexual Abuse: Police
The sexual abuse reportedly began in January, police say.
EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was arrested after sexually abusing a woman, police said.
According to East Hampton town police, a 27-year-old woman reported that she had been the victim of sexual abuse; subsequent investigation by detectives revealed that she had been subjected to multiple instances of sexual abuse and harassment beginning in January, police said.
Jose Miguel Humala Chabla, 32, was arrested by the East Hampton Town Police Department's detective division and charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony; and second-degree harassment, a violation, police said.

Humala Chabla is currently being held at East Hampton Town Police Department headquarters and is scheduled to be arraigned at East Hampton Town Justice Court on Wednesday, police said.
