Man Caught with Cocaine in Montauk: Police

The East Hampton man dropped the drugs after removing the cocaine from his pocket, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - An East Hampton man was cuffed after being caught with cocaine in Montauk, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Isaiah Stephens, 26, was arrested on Sunday at 2:10 a.m. at 692 Montauk Highway.

Stephens, police said, "possessed a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance which he removed from his left shorts pocket with his left hand and dropped on the ground." The substance tested positive for cocaine, police said.

Stephen was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said; $1,000 cash bail was set at his arraignment, police said.
