Man Caught Driving Drunk Near Route 27: Police
The man failed to maintain his lane, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was cuffed after he was caught driving drunk on Springs Close Highway near Route 27, police said.
Franklin Ortega-Zhunio, 31, was arrested on Nov. 23 at 9:16 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor and operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1 percent alcohol or more in blood, first offense, a misdemeanor, police said.
Ortega-Zhunio was driving a 2000 Toyota north when he failed to maintain his lane while making a right turn from Route 27 onto Springs Close Highway, police said.

Upon contact, he had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his speech was slurred, he was unsteady on his feet, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests administered, police said.
Bail was set at $350, p0lice said.
