Man Charged With Drug, Stolen Gun Possession In Hamptons: Police

A woman leaving the residence with drugs was also arrested and charged, police say.

AMAGANSETT, NY — An Amagansett man was arrested and charged Thursday after he was found with large quantities of Ecstacy, mushrooms, and a stolen handgun at his home, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Ryan Aldrich, 29, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his home. Aldrich was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony; second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, police said.

Aldrich was found with large amounts of Psilocybin, or mushrooms, and MDMA, or ecstasy, as well as the stolen 9 mm handgun, police said.

Also arrested was Deanna Digioia, 28, of East Patchogue; she was seen leaving the residence and stopped nearby on Montauk Highway where a large quantity of mushrooms was recovered from her vehicle, police said.

She was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, police said.

The two were held at East Hampton Town Justice Court pending arraignment, police said.
