Man Charged With Felony DWI In Montauk: Police

MONTAUK, NY — A Bay Shore man was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated in Montauk recently, police said.

Christopher R. Mackie, 36, was arrested on Jan. 26 at 7:20 p.m. on Montauk Highway near Essex Street, East Hampton Town police said. Mackie, who was heading east in a red 2019 Dodge Ram, was seen driving without headlight or taillights after dark, police said.

During a traffic stop, Mackie was found to be intoxicated and charged with DWI, a felony, due to a previous conviction within the last 10 years, police said.
