Man Choked Woman, Threw Her, Intentionally Collided With Her Car: Police
He pulled his victim by the hair, threw her to the ground, and choked her, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Connecticut man was arrested after he intentionally hit a woman's car, choked her, and pulled her by the hair, throwing her to the ground, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Steven T. Washburn, 61, was arrested on August 16 at 9 p.m. on W. Lake Drive in Montauk and charged with two counts of third degree criminal mischief, damaging someone's property in an amount greater than $250, a felony, second degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor, and two counts of second degree harassment, physical contact, a violation.
Washburn grabbed the woman by the hair and threw her to the ground, causing abrasions and pain, and placed his hands around her neck, applied pressure to her throat, and pushed her, causing abrasions, police said.

He also intentionally collided his vehicle into hers, twice, while she was inside; intentionally damaged the rear bumper of the victim's truck, causing estimated damage of $1,500, and intentionally damaged the door frame of the victim's bedroom, causing estimated damage of $300, police said.
Bail was set at $4,000, police said.
