Man Cuffed After Being Caught With Cocaine: Cops

The cocaine was found in his pants pocket, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was cuffed after he was caught with cocaine, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Louis A. Savarese, 34, was arrested on Feb. 3 at 12:10 a.m. on Fort Pond Blvd. after he was found with a clear plastic bag in his right pants pocket with a white powdery substance that later field tested positive for the presence of cocaine.

He was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
