Man Dies In East Hampton Motorcycle Crash: Police

Jefferson D. Eames veered off the roadway and struck a tree, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man died Wednesday night after a motorcycle crash, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Jefferson D. Eames, 53, of East Hampton, was riding a 2011 Yamaha north on Accabonac Road near Banks Ct. when he veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

Eames was transported by East Hampton Ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
