Man Drowns In Hamptons Pool

SPRINGS, NY — A young man drowned in a pool on the East End Sunday night, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police Capt. Chris Anderson, Brett Friedberg, 22, of Port Washington, was found unresponsive by friends in a pool by friends on Waterhole Road at 11:09 p.m.

He was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital by Springs Fire Department, where he was pronounced dead, Anderson said.

There was no foul play involved, police said. An investigation is ongoing with the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office, police said.
