Man Fires Gun During Domestic Dispute In Hamptons: Cops
He then fled the scene on foot, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man was arrested Thursday after he fired a gun during a domestic dispute in his home, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, officers responded to the residence on Oakview Hwy. in East Hampton at 2:04 p.m. after a report of a shooting.
Mark Laton, 66, of East Hampton, discharged a shotgun inside his home following the domestic dispute and then fled the scene on foot prior to officers' arrival, police said. He was located a short time later in a wooded area behind his home and was taken into custody without incident, police said. He was arrested and charged with one count of second degree reckless endangerment and is scheduled to be arraigned at East Hampton Town Justice Court on Dec. 20, police said.
