Man Found Dead Near Roadway In East Hampton: Police

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A man was found dead in East Hampton Tuesday, police said.

East Hampton town police and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the death: At about 12:56 p.m., a passing motorist discovered the body of Ian Nathanson, 45, on a property on Lion Head Rock Road, near the roadway, police said. Nathanson resides at that location, police said.

East Hampton police personnel responded to the scene, at which time it was confirmed that he was deceased, police said.

At this time, the death does not appear suspicious in nature and no foul play is suspected, police said.
