Man Slapped Girl's Buttocks While On Line At Hamptons Deli: Cops

He was located near the deli and arrested, charged with endangering the welfare of a child and forcible touching, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Bridgehampton man was arrested after he slapped a girl's buttocks in an East Hampton market, police said.

According to East Hampton Village Police, Jose F. Bonilla, 36, was arrested on May 25 at 9:58 a.m. on Race Lane and charged with second degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and forcible touching.

The girl said while standing on line at a deli, Bonilla "slapped her buttocks" two times at different locations, police said.

Police did not immediately release the age of the girl.

Bonilla then left the business and was located at the intersection of Race Lane and Railroad Avenue in East Hampton, police said. After the girl positively identified Bonilla, he was placed under arrest, charged, and taken to East Hampton Village Police headquarters for processing, police said.

He was arraigned on May 26 at East Hampton Town Justice Court; bail was set at $2,500, police said.
