Man Tied Up at Gunpoint During Home Invasion

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A man was tied up at gunpoint in an early morning home invasion in Springs, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, on Thursday at 2:58 a.m., two men, each armed with handguns, wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts, forced entry into a home on Norfolk Street through a locked basement door.

The sole occupant of the residence, Richard Stevenson, 56, had his hands tied behind his back and was held up at gunpoint while the men ransacked the home before fleeing with unknown proceeds, police said.
