Man Vandalized Multiple Properties In East Hampton With Paint: Police

He's facing felony charges after vandalizing both village-owned and private property in August, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested Friday after he vandalized multiple properties in East Hampton Village with paint in August, police said.

According to East Hampton Village Police, Jean Pierre Hernandez, 32, was arrested at 11:18 a.m. and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief and four counts of third-degree criminal mischief, all felonies.

The charges stemmed from the multiple incidents of vandalism to village-owned and private property in the early morning hours of August 11, police said.

He was released Friday and released on his own recognizance, police said.
