Montauk Artist Juliana Purcell Sheehan in Bridgehampton

Over the years I have met many wonderful local artist. Recently in Montauk I had the pleasure of being introduced to the work of Braille artist, Juliana Purcell Sheehan, who will be showing her art at Bridgehampton Museum at the must-see summer event, Art Market + Design. The show features 80+ top galleries from around the world alongside a design presentation highlighting the industry's most innovative makers.

There, she will be showing several of her paintings under representation of ArtBlend Gallery. Each of her paintings have a different message in Braille within the art, giving viewers rare encouragement to feel each piece. From the start, Juliana always had lots of texture in her pieces, hoping to give art lovers an interactive experience.

After seeing a person years ago with visual difficulties at her art show, Juliana taught herself braille to ensure her paintings could be accessible to everyone. To view her work at Art Market and Design , tickets are available at Artmarkethamptons.com. Show runs August 12-15,2021.
