Montauk's 62nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Set To Step Off
The Montauk Friends of Erin St. Patrick's Day Parade brings thousands to celebrate.

MONTAUK, NY — Irish eyes will be smiling soon as the 62nd Annual Montauk Friends of Erin St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off.
The free event takes place on Sunday, March 24 and begins at noon on Edgemere Road.
"It has been estimated that 40,000 spectators and supporters have attended this annual event in years past that was conceived as a way to bring an end to the dreary winters in Montauk, and welcome spring with a joyous and festive Irish celebration," the Montauk Friends of Erin website said. "The Montauk St. Patrick's Day Parade has become a part of the fabric of the community over its many years, and while the faces in the crowds lining the streets have changed, what has not changed are the smiles on those faces, young and old alike, and the fun all are welcome to join in at this community event."

Steve "Puck" Dolan will lead the parade as this year's Grand Marshal, officials said.
Dolan, a well-loved bartender on the Montauk canvas for years, was the perfect choice, the Friends of Erin said. "For over four decades, Puck has been a quiet and constant presence for generations of Montauk families, and we are thrilled to recognize his dedication and impact by having him lead this year's parade. Let's all send him off to retirement in style!"
