My 5 Favorite Apps That Help Me Sell Hamptons Real Estate

At last count there are approximately 650 real estate agents on the east end competing for every  listing in every price point in every area or town. (And that's a lot of ego)! Most of these agents,  or I should say the ones who sell real estate as their full time job, have to work very hard to get  the attention and consideration of the relative few buyers and sellers in the market at any one  time. It's simply not enough anymore to run a couple branding ads in the Star, (although that is a  part of my marketing strategy). All the top brokers in the Hamptons at this time not only have a  digital footprint, (facebook, twitter, website, etc), they also use ios or android apps on their phones  or tablets to get not only deals done, but the business of real estate done. Success in real estate is  more than just showing properties with hopes of bringing about a meeting of the minds. It's  scheduling advertising, lead generation, networking, managing social media, and so on.  It is the  management of this type of digital activity that is putting and keeping the top agents at the top. 

With this in mind I would like to share with you 5 of my favorite apps that I use every day that not only help me get the business of Hamptons real estate done, but keeps my day planed and organized. 

1. EverNote. Evernote is a brilliant app that organizes all of your notes, plans, articles, photos in one easy to use place. I use it for day planning, to do lists, and storage. I really love the "clip to evernote" feature. If I run across an online article I want to read but don't have time, I can just "clip" it to evernote and read it later. Brilliant. 

2. Dropbox. Dropbox is a must-have app for the Hamptons real estate professional these days. With Dropbox all of my listing info, photos, surveys, just about anything I would need for any of my listings goes in Dropbox. Then when an agent or client calls and wants all the info on a particular listing, 2 or 3 clicks later it's done. Don't know how an agent in this day and age can do without Dropbox. 

3. DocuSign. DocuSign can literally be mean difference between getting your clients offer accepted or that of a competing bidder. (I have have first hand knowledge of this). DocuSign allows you to sign documents anywhere from any device. No waiting for over night fed-ex, no getting to a fax machine. It's fast, easy, and secure. I also like and use eFax, some folks find it easier to use in some cases. 

4. MagicPlan. MagicPlan allows you to measure and and create a floor plan with your iphone or ipad. It's actually really fun to do. There are countless times customers and clients ask for floor plans and there are none available, especially for older homes. I have done a whole 4000 sq. ft. home in 15 minutes. Very cool app. 

5. CamScanner. CamScanner is a very useful app for an active Hamptons real estate agent. Being on the road for a majority of the day, it is not always easy to get new information where it needs to be. With CamScanner, I can scan documents, graphs, and other info and send it, file it, or share it with my office. Whats also great you have the option to send your scan as a pdf, which is necessary in some cases.
