National Business Aviation Association Joins Lawsuit Against East Hampton Town
The lawsuit was filed last month after the Town after they voted to approve new restrictions.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), a national organization representing the business aviation community, recently announced that it has joined the pending lawsuit by the Friends of East Hampton Airport (FOEHA) and others against the Town of East Hampton.
“NBAA’s addition as a plaintiff makes clear that the restrictions target, and will severely affect, not only the helicopter community, but also fixed-wing aircraft and the business aviation community as a whole,” the Friends of East Hampton Airport said in a press release.
The coalition filed a lawsuit in April against the Town of East Hampton after the board voted to approve three restrictions for aircrafts flying to East Hampton Airport.

The restrictions, which were proposed by Councilwoman Kathee Burke-Gonzalez back in February, included a mandatory nighttime curfew from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.; an extended curfew on noisy aircraft from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.; and a limit on operations by noisy aircraft of one trip (one arrival and one departure) per week during the summer season.
After the lawsuit was filed, East Hampton Town released a statement claiming the lawsuit was “stripped of its rhetoric” and that “the 34-page complaint is entirely predictable and contains no surprises”.
