Navy Beach Raises Over $25,000 This Season For Navy SEAL Foundation

This is the third year in a row the Montauk restaurant raised money for the foundation.

Montauk beachfront restaurant, Navy Beach, recently announced this year’s results of a third successful season of raising awareness and moneyΒ for the Navy SEAL Foundation.

The foundation is a non-profit organization that provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.

For the 2015 season, the restaurant raised just over $25,000 in funds for the organization, bringing the three-year total of fundraising for foundation to over $60,000.

This year fundraising efforts included a β€œdine and donate” program that ran from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day during which lunch and dinner checks collected at least $1 per meal while allowing customers to donate additional funds at their own discretion; and an annual cocktail party fundraiser in June.

In addition, the restaurant once again also joined forces with jewelry and accessories brand MIANSAI, and collaborated on a limited edition bracelet commemorating the restaurant’s local and local Naval history as well as a pop-up from which a percentage of sales were donated to the organization.

β€œWe feel fortunate to be able to put our efforts towards assisting the Navy SEAL Foundation β€˜programs with purpose’ and in a small way supporting these warriors and their families,” partner Frank Davis said. β€œThe experience has been rewarding and the local community’s response and support has been tremendous.”

According to Davis, next year’s kickoff event will be held at the restaurant on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

β€œWe look forward to continuing our partnership with the Navy SEAL Foundation in the future and continue to look for even more ways to help increase awareness for the foundation and its efforts while also helping to raise the funds required for the organization to carry out its core mission: Honoring our warriors. Supporting their families,” he said.
