New Restaurant Opens in Water Mill

A new restaurant recently opened up in Water Mill this month.

Via Del Mare is now open on 670 Montauk Highway, which is the former site of Mirko’s Restaurant, which closed down in 2013.

The restaurant is now owned by New York City restaurateur Paulo Della Puppa, who is well known for Bottega del Vino and Via Quadronno on the upper East side.

Chef Marco Barrila, a top New York City chef and owner of the catering company Insatiable EATS, will be working the kitchen.

Barrila, who is known for his farm to table approach, will be cooking up Italian cuisine inspired by locally grown and produced ingredients.
