NYC Man Nabbed With Cocaine: Police

He was released on $500 bail, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A New York City man was nabbed with cocaine in East Hampton, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Jeremy L. Brandes, 27, was arrested on July 17 at 1:20 a.m. on Cedar Street near Roberts Lane and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, 500 milligrams, a felony.

Brandes wrongfully possessed a clear plastic bag containing a quantity of a white, powdery substance that weighed 500 milligrams or more; the white powder later tested positive for the presence of cocaine, police said.
