The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program
Explore six private gardens in East Hampton, Montauk, and Stony Brook, open to the public for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. Highlights include exuberantly blooming rhododendrons, azaleas, perennials, and spring bulbs, a potager filled with vegetables, fruit, and flowering vines, unexpected sculptures including brick “rugs” inspired by Middle Eastern carpets, espaliered pear trees, and woodland walks.
When: Saturday, May 9; 10 a.m. (ending times vary).
Where: Visitors may begin the tour at any of these locations: Biercuk & Luckey Garden, 18 Sayres Path, East Hampton; Garden of Abby Jane Brody, 44 Glade Road, East Hampton; Garden of Margaret Kerr, 1006 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton; The Garden of Dianne B., 86 Davids Lane, East Hampton; Garden of Richard Kahn & Elaine Peterson, 224 West Lake Drive, Montauk; or Sue Bottigheimer’s Garden, 61 Cedar Street, Stony Brook.
Cost: $7 per garden; children 12 & under free
