PHOTOS: Kids Fish Free in Montauk
Montauk Chamber sponsors program to get kids fishing. There's another chance to sign-up for August trips.
Last week, the sponsored "Take a Kid Fishing for Free" and several dozen children took advantage of the new program.
Held over three days, the program is meant to drum up interest in fishing for kids 6 to 18 yeas old. Another session will take place Aug. 14, 15, and 16 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Charter boat captains donate their vessels, including the Miss Montauk, , My Joyce Charters, , , , Ebb Tide, Marlin VI Princess, Sea Spray Fishing Charters, Grand Slam Charters, My Mate Carters, Blue Crush Charters and Double D Charters.

Children are free and there is a $10 fee for an adult accompanying the children. Sign-up at the Montauk Chamber of Commerce’s office.
