Police: Bohemia Man Arrested After Drugs, Paraphernalia Found In Car

The arrest was made last Friday, Oct. 31.

East Hampton Village Police arrested a 35-year-old Bohemia man who was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia in his car on Friday, Oct. 31.

Police pulled over the man who was driving on Montauk Highway and Cove Hollow Road after he was observed speeding, swerving and driving on the shoulder.

A DMV check showed that he had a suspended license due to failure to answer a summons, according police.

A further investigation found a spoon, a tourniquet, a metal rod and four hypodermic needles, one loaded with a substance located in a sunglass case on the driver side door.

Police tested the substance using a Narc II kit, which tested positive for heroin.

The man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.

He was released on cash bail and an appearance ticket.
