Police ID Woman Found Dead At Camp Hero State Park In Montauk: Police

MONTAUK, NY — Police have identified the body of a woman found dead in Montauk Thursday, New York State police said.

According to police, at about 1:42 p.m., the New York State Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to Montauk Point East Overlook at Camp Hero State Park in Montauk after reports of a deceased body.

Upon arrival, Investigators located the body of a woman identified as Lauren Balik, 35, of New York City, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
